THE BEST DOCTOR IN SO CALIF
Dr Simental is the most thorough, caring doctor I have ever encountered in my 60 years of LIFE. His staff is incredible as well. The first appt was a consultation in which he spent about 45 minutes with us. All along the way, we had tests to complete and he or his staff kept in constant communication with me with the MY CHART app. Then on surgery day, we were at surgical hospital on Barton Rd in Loma Linda. This has to be the cleanest hospital I have ever been in and everyone was extremely professional and caring, from the janitor cleaning the halls to the recovery room nurses to the anesthesiologist . AMAZING experience. We simply need more doctors like Dr Simental!

My surgery was in Nov 2019. I agree totally with last review. He’s an awesome Dr. I felt very assured and comfortable before and after surgery. He’s caring and compassionate and funny. He truly cares about his patients. Went to City of Hope for second opinion since my tumor was a rare hurthle cell tumor and the top thyroid surgeon there said if you like him I would stay with him. He’s one of the best. He truly is. Hard to find Drs. Like him that really care about their patients and is a top notch surgeon.

I was referred to Dr simental after being diagnosed with a golf sized tumor in my left thyroid. Dr simental explained what were my options and let me make my own decisions. He had the best bed side manner. Also asked me if I had any questions. Made me feel at ease. My surgery was a success. Scar healed perfectly. He replies quickly.

Dr, Simental lookednat me amd told me that I had cancer! He would remove half of my thyroid or full if needed once he was in. I felt very uncomfortable with him as he joked the entire time I was in his office. I eft feeling worse. I decided to go to Dr. Gutler out of USC for a second opinion. No CANCER! no reason to remove my thyroid. Its no wonder Simental does 600 thyroid surgeries per year, that a big money maker. Curious...how many were actually cancer? This man had the nerve to bill me.

I have such gratitude for Dr Simental! He is everything you could ever wish for in a surgeon. He made me feel comfortable from the start. He accommodated my needs in every way, including working around pulmonary embolisms. Experience? He does about 600 of these surgeries a year! It’s hard to believe that someone with his experience and credentials is so warm, kind and funny. He answers all my questions and replies right away. I did my research and he’s the best, other dr’s send cases to him.

I was recently diagnosed with thyroid papillary carcinoma and had the incredible good fortune of being referred to Dr. Simental. His lovely sense of humor and his extraordinary level of skill and knowledge inspired my trust from the first consultation. I went to the OR without fear. My surgery and perioperative care was flawless, and Dr. Simental made sure I had the knowledge, support, and resources to facilitate a smooth transition to life without a thyroid gland! So grateful.

I was referred to Dr. Simental after it was discovered that I had several nodules on my thyroid - one which was so large it was pressing against my vocal cord and causing discomfort. Dr. Simental explained to me my options and the risks associated with each. At no point did I feel like decisions were being made for me. Last week Dr. Simental performed a total thyroidectomy and the surgery went great. He is not only an amazing surgeon, but he has a great bedside manner and sense of humor.

Dr. Simental is the best! I was referred to him for a neck dissection due to recurrent Thyroid cancer. I had a Thyroidectomy with another surgeon 2 years prior. My only regret is that I wasn't referred to Dr. Simental the first time. His knowledge and character put me at ease before, during and after surgery. I'm also very happy to say he did a great job at concealing the incision. Visits are thourough, he takes the time to answer all of your questions.

He is the most wonderful doctor I have ever met I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer by him when I was 14 in 2012 even though I was scared he reassured me. After several surgeries and several radiations, since my cancer was stubborn and came back, I am now healthy and my scar healed very well. My voice face and everything that was a risk is all in in tact and I thank him for it all
