I do NOT recommend this doctor! I should have read the reviews before attempting to hold an appointment. I have never been treated so badly by anyone in my life as I was by their office worker. I was belittled and demeaned because of my psoriatic arthritis. Stress is an issue when you have PsA, and this whole experience was EXTREMELY stressful. If you try to use this doctor, I'm 100% certain you will experience the same. After driving over an hour for the appointment, I was so belittled by the office staff that I canceled the appointment. The only good news is that I was told that I "wouldn't be charged the cancelation fee, but I couldn't come back".

I have been going to Dr Manlapit for over 20 years and have nothing but great things to say about the care I have received. If I have a flare up the staff are very accommodating in getting me seen or the doctor contacting me. The staff have been friendly, helpful and willing to work with my schedule.

Have not got a chance to see the Dr. The reception is very rude after asking question about the letter that came in the mail with a appointment scheduled that wasn’t made by me with the office I was hung up on. Apparently that’s how things are Done now days! I really don’t know how they have any patients. I called the next day to talk to a office manager and was hung up on again

Doesn't deserve any stars! After 15 years as a patient, he dropped me when I said that I was looking for an additional rheumatologist in another state because I was planning on wintering there. I was just a guaranteed income for him, demanding that I go to him every 6-8 weeks. He ordered a very expensive test that my insurance company wouldn't pay for them refused to give me the results after dropping me. He would not send my records to my new doctor. His office staff would hang up on me whenever I called... very rude! I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy!

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to seeing Dr. Albert Manlapit in March, 2019. I was grateful that he did get me in pretty quickly. As others have said, there are not many options in the Saginaw area. I belive he is very smart and has alot of knowledge. However, he is very non personable and I believe he almost runs a dictatorship there. After a year with him, he finally has begun to be a little personal. However, I believe he overcodes for one thing. Every one of my followups is coded at the 2nd highest. I believe I am at more of a status quo at this point. But he keeps finding more reasons to order more tests, give me more injections etc. and see me every 6 weeks, which mind you I have a 1700 deductible so I have to pay him out of pocket until about September. His office staff is the most rudest I have ever been treated. Thank you for at least one other person confirming my treatment from office staff. I think they are walking on eggshells because of him. I wish I had so

Wow. I tried this doctor a few times because Saginaw doesn't have a lot of options when it comes to rheumatologists. This man is rude, arrogant and does not listen to what you have to say at all. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and with only a physical exam he said I didn't have it. I've since been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. He wouldn't listen to any of my symptoms and was just unpleasant. I wouldn't be surprised if he had an issue with malpractice claims.

Dr. Manlapit is the worst doctor ever. He blew me off and acted like I was faking it! It took me 3 months to get an appointment with him, and then three months to get in with a good rheumatologist in ann arbor. By the time I got in with my new rheumatologist, who took my condition VERY seriously and started treatment, the arthritis had progressed so much, and damaged my feet so badly I am handicapped for life. This would not have happened if Manlapit had been a decent doctor.

Shockingly rude office staff. My 87 y.o Mother was not able to understand the office lady over the phone so she had them call me. Not having prescriptions in front of me, I was unable to answer either, and said I would call them back from my Mother's. The lady was so rude the entire time. Questions answered, she said they'd get back with us after Mother was off steroids 2 wks. They never did call, so I called 3wks later & they decided not to accept my Mother because of the earlier confusion.

First of all my wife is totally vision impaired. Dr Manlapit would always get so frustrated with her because she wouldn't (couldn't) follow his direction when he wanted her to certain things, eg: clasp hands behind her head and several other maneuvers. Very rude man. She came to him with a diagnosis of Lupus and he totally ignored it. He prescribed Methyltrexate for her symptoms. Kept ordering refills. Her GE Dr. ordered her off this drug because it caused her liver disease. TOTALLY USELESS!!

i have had four visits with this physician. He does not let you talk. If you begin to talk or ask a question, he interrupts and talks over you. He does not want to hear every place you have pain or problems. He only wants to talk about your top issue. I have many areas of discomfort and pain. My pain is different every day. What hurts one day is not necessarily the biggest pain issue the next day. He will not address this. Part of the healthcare field is educating patients. He does not.

So true. He will not commit to diagnosis. Wishy-washy. Claims he is very thorough and thinks he's the best, but it seems he thinks more of himself than his patients do. Doctors don't have a magic wand but we need a doctor who listens, is respectful, and honestly wants to help. We are done with Dr. Manlapit. We'll drive to Midland to see Dr. Diola.
