Terrible experience. Dr. has difficulty hearing and comprehending what is being said to him. Prescribed Tiotixine, which has the highest adverse reaction med, after which my brother had to be rushed to ER. A psychiatrist from the hospital was surprised this med was even prescribed as this drug has been used many decades ago and is considered outdated from the practice. I called Dr.Ruttenberg to inform him of the outcome and no one from his office even cared to follow up with a family or a patient afterward.

I Have been going to Dr. Ruttenberg for over five years now (I think). He always takes the time to listen to me and makes thoughtful decisions based off of what I have to say. I find him to be quite knowledgeable as well. Dr. Rutteberg has also made the time to talk to my psychologist so I feel like I have a team watching out for me. Last but not least, I have to say I LOVE Carmen, his office manager! She is always polite, kind and patient. She doesn't rush me in and out and wants to make sure I am comfortable and taken care of. Why not five stars? It is sometimes hard for me to remember my appointment time, they do not remind you, if you forget, it isn't good but even then Carmen has been flexible with me (I have only forgotten once). So 4.8 stars!

I've seen Dr Ruttenberg for years. He is as reliable as an atomic clock. He designs drug treatment with great skill.

At first I was a little uncomfortable with his straight forward and somewhat robotic personality, but after understanding his philosophy on mental issues and medication I couldn't be more comfortable. I have had to adjust my meds in between appointments and he was very prompt and didn't make my feel bad about repeatedly calling to adjust my meds. I think his reviews do not fit his expert level of service.
