Telehealth
After 2 visits, Brandie suggested I go inpatient. She told me to talk to my husband and message her by 3pm or she was calling the police to check on me. I told Brandie I was going out of town so I wouldn’t be home, but that I’d message before 3. I talked to my therapist and we decided inpatient wouldn’t be best for me. I messaged Brandie and didn’t hear back for over a WEEK. While I was out of town, I worried I’d come back to my door kicked in. (Thanks, anxiety.) My therapist was livid that a professional in mental health wouldn’t acknowledge a message after giving me an ultimatum like that. I won’t be back and now I’m hesitant to trust other “professionals.”
