Dr Alo operated on me.Very painful colorectal issues that will last a lifetime. His office, decked out like a king, this man is the most know it all, arrogant,Dr.If you experience pain from 2 general surgeries ,DONT EXPECT THIS MAN TO CARE AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!! I was referred to him after a emergency chopper flight to st Vincent hospital and a emergency surgery.I was sepsis,no blood pressure and close to death.BEFORE he ever looked at the surgical sight when I met him he made quite clear that he gives 2 weeks of pain medication and no more.REMEMBER,THIS WAS BEFORE HE EVER EVEN EXAMINED ME.He continued to tell me to take NSAIDS,EVEN THOUGH HE KNEW I CANNOT TAKE NSAIDS.He did not care whatsoever. At one point his staff hung up on me on the phone saying,I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU.Said he dropped me as a patient,AFTER I FIRED HIM .He is a awful Dr.IF YOUR IN PAIN,YOU ARE A DRUG SEEKER.I wouldn't let him treat my dog.

Has no compassion.
Dr Alo has in his literature, you will receive 2 weeks of pain medication after surgery. He has no compassion for patients who may have presented with very painful post-op pain. People are not objects on an assembly line.Stating the amount of ANY medication you will receive pre-operative is not practicing medicine. That's an assembly line.He has NO IDEA what a patient will need post-op unless he is a god who can see the future. No bedside manner, barely makes eye contact or listens to his patients concerns. His office rarely answers questions left in the patient portal.

Not recommended
This is a doctor that pulls a diagnosis out of thin air in hopes that it sticks. Didn’t do any x-rays, CT scans, nothing. I suffered for two months, ended up in the emergency room, where they did testing and diagnosed the problem correctly. I had surgery… I requested another physician /surgeon who corrected the problem. I was in the hospital for 11 days. I don’t recommend this doctor to anybody.

I have been a patient of Dr Alo for a number of years...probably 10, maybe longer. The office itself is very professional and helpful. Dr Alo himself is...well, I'd say he exudes confidence, which is to me is reassuring. I do not have to see him often, but when I do the experience has always been particularly good.
