CAUTION: Misplaced IUD needing surgery to remove
Dr. Schickner misplaced an IUD in me October 2024 which I had to get surgery to remove. During the procedure, I could tell something was not right. She nicked my cervix during the procedure and I was bleeding throughout and 12 hours afterwards. I asked multiple times if everything was okay, because I had done an IUD insertion before and this time was extremely different than the last. Dr. Schickner wasn't saying much, it was lasting too long, and there was a lot of bleeding.Extreme pain led me to the ER the next night where after 10 hrs of scans and exams, they found that it had perforated entirely through my uterus and was laying near my intestines. I had the most extreme pain of my life, I could barely walk or sit. I had to get an entire SURGERY to remove this IUD that was just laying randomly in my body. Dr. Schickner admitted that this was her fault, and this entire ordeal cost us THOUSANDS of dollars.

I LOVE Dr. Schickner. She treats me with kindness and respect and answers all my questions. I have never been treated so well by any doctor before. She is incredible
