My insurance policy does not require me to get a referral for a specialist if the doctor s in network. They expect me to be the person responsible for my health and healthcare. This office apparently doesn’t feel the same. Nowhere is it posted for any physician “accepting new patients” that they are accepting new patients ONLY if you are referred by another physician. I’ve been dealing with my health issues for a very long time and now myself well. I don’t randomly or lightly change doctors. This is a poor policy, but whatever. However, if this a your policy, no exceptions, why do you advertise that you are accepting new patients and why do you NOT include that you are referral? It’s false advertising and it’s making potential new patients jump through unnecessary hoops. No thanks.
