Scripps Coastal Medical Center Hillcrest

I have had some annoyances with this office, but this latest one has taken the cake. They clearly don't care about their patients. Communication though the patient portal is consistently more complicated than it needs to be. The MA doesn't seem to understand her job well. I turn 45 in April, and need a referral for my screening colonoscopy. My insurance recently dropped Scripps. This office previously referred me to a Scripps-affiliated GI office. I can no longer go there, so I am trying to get a referral to do the colonoscopy with another health system. They are refusing to give me a direct referral for the colonoscopy. I have been fighting them for 3 weeks to get this, but not once have I been able to speak directly with my doctor. Not once have they given me a legit reason why they can't do this. Why are they making this so difficult? It should be a simple form letter that they send for the colonoscopy. Save yourself the trouble, and just go to another office! This is absurd!
