Dr. Jason A. Diaz received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Wake Forest University in 1998. He went on to get his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in 2003. Dr. Diaz completed both an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Utah here in Salt Lake City. He then pursued a fellowship in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania. During his time in Philadelphia, he also served as Instructor of Otolaryngology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In July of 2009, Dr. Diaz accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Head & Neck Surgical Oncology and Reconstruction within the Department of Otolaryngology at Washington University in St. Louis. He held that position for 5 years. In July of 2014, he moved his family to Utah and joined the Ear, Nose & Throat Center.His clinical interests include management of benign and malignant tumors of the head & neck, thyroid and parathyroid disease, melanoma and other advanced cutaneous malignancies, salivary gland disorders, paragangliomas, and other skull base tumors. He has special expertise in the fields of minimally-invasive transoral laser excision, transoral robotic surgery, and conservation laryngeal tumor resection. Dr. Diaz is part of the most experienced community-based Head & Neck Microvascular Reconstructive team in the state.Dr. Diaz has done research in the fields of cancer therapy, transoral robotic surgery, rare head & neck tumors, patient safety, and complex head & neck reconstruction. He has published 22 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, and has several more that are currently in press. He also co-authored two chapters in the authoritative text on transoral robotic surgery by Drs. Weinstein and O'Malley. He has given over a dozen presentations at national and international Society meetings, as well as countless other invited lectures at local and regional medical gatherings. He is currently involved in research looking at optimal ways to reconstruct throat and scalp defects. Since 2008, he has reviewed manuscripts that were submitted for publication to several major medical journals.Dr. Diaz is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Head & Neck Society. He holds positions on several Committees within those organizations. Dr. Diaz currently sees patients at our Draper and Riverton offices. He is Chief of Otolaryngology at Intermountain Medical Center. He also has privileges at Jordan Valley Medical Center, LDS Hospital, and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. Dr. Diaz is an active member of both the Jordan Valley Cancer Committee and the Huntsman-Intermountain Cancer Care Program.Dr. Diaz loves living back in Utah with his wife, Lynn, and their two young sons, Tyler and Vaughn. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, keeping fit, spending time with his family, and playing the guitar.

Dr. Ryan earned a medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery residency at Duke University and then joined its faculty while concurrently completing an MPH at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board certified in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery with additional certification in Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology, which represents her experience working collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams to treat complicated otolaryngologic disorders and care for medically complex children. She completed a Laryngology fellowship at the Emory Voice Center treating the full spectrum of voice, airway, and swallowing disorders. Additionally, she completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University and remained on faculty for several years as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Ryan uses state-of-the-art equipment and techniques in her practice, which focuses on diagnosing and treating neck, voice, airway, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.

Dr. Matthew E. Dahl is a board certified general pediatric and adult otolaryngologist. He completed his residency at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. Prior to his residency, Dr. Dahl attended Tulane University School of Medicine where he excelled academically and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was awarded the Humanism in Medicine Award for his graduating class. He is pleased to offer patients of all ages complete otolaryngology care. His areas of interest include disorders of the tonsils and adenoids, ear disease and hearing loss, endoscopic sinus surgery, allergy, thyroid and parathyroid disease, and voice disorders. He strives to provide his patients with the best, up-to-date care available. Dr. Dahl is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery . He also serves as the President of the Young Physicians Association within the Utah Medical Association.
