I introduced Mako Robotic Arm-assisted surgery to South Carolina when I performed the state's first robotically assisted total knee replacement. In addition, I pioneered tourniquet-less knee replacement in what is the now-trademarked "free the knee" program for rapid recovery. \n I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and have extensive experience in total joint replacement and reconstructive surgery. My specialties include hip, knee and shoulder care. \n I founded the Charleston Institute of Advanced Orthopedics and am proud of the experienced team we've built. We focus on personalized care with a goal of helping each patient return to their full range of activity. \n My team and I work to guide patients to the most effective, least invasive treatment.
