He has interests in working with geriatric patients, patients with sexual health concerns, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA ) patients. He consistently works to support LGBTQIA health with a special interest in and working with transgender & gender diverse individuals. In partnership with a clinical pharmacist, Dr. Haugland works to complete hormone management for transgender & gender diverse patients including puberty blockers, when needed, for youth. He follows WPATH standards of care.

Dr. Christiansen is board certified in Family Medicine. She uses the knowledge she has gained from her medical education and training, along with her own personal experiences, to provide individualized and comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from birth to end of life. She values a physicians responsibility to provide patients with the knowledge needed to make their own informed decisions and to provide treatment options that best fit their goal.In her free time, Dr. Christiansen enjoys outdoor activities like camping, hiking, water sports and visiting beaches with her husband and two dogs. She loves to travel, especially to warm places, and she values spending quality time with family and friends.
