He earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, where he was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Howard University Hospital and went on to a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Rishi Gogineni is a board certified, fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He utilizes modern techniques in his surgical practice including anterior approach total hip replacements, muscle-sparing total knee replacements, and robotic surgery for accurate implant placement. He is experienced in and has published research on outpatient joint replacement with same day discharge to home. For patients who may not be ready for surgery yet, he offers non-surgical arthritis treatments. He is happy to see patients for second opinions or consultations. Dr. Gogineni lives in Loudoun County with his wife and four kids and their chocolate lab.
