Dr. Mohamad Jibawi, MD pursued his education in Medicine at Waubonsee College, Illinois and St. Matthews University School of Medicine, Cayman Islands. He completed his residency in Family Medicine from LSU Family Medicine Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, Louisiana. He holds several certifications and courses such as ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) and is Board eligible. Dr. Mohamad Jibawi joined AccessHealth Care in July 2016. He has several awards to his credit including the Intern of the Year award at Interim LSU Hospital and the Women's Health Award (2013-14) at LSU Health Science Center. Dr. Jibawi enjoys various sports such as Football, Basketball and volleyball. He also likes to go fishing in the summers. He is fluent in English and Arabic.

Our goals are to provide spinal care with the least amount of risk to our patients. We are trained in both minimally invasive and major reconstructive spinal surgery. We obtained this unique training by completing two different fellowships in spinal surgery instead of the traditional single fellowship; one in minimally invasive spinal treatment and one in major reconstructive spinal treatment.

My Philosophy to patient care is to try and avoid the need for surgery unless there is no other option. When Surgery is indicated my approach is to always do the procedure that will provide the greatest benefit with the least invasiveness. Putting the patient first and ving the patient options is foremost in my paradigm.
