Dr. Al-Khoury completed her residency in internal medicine at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Beirut, Lebanon. She completed a second residency in neurology at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas. She completed a fellowship in stroke at the University of California, San Diego, San Diego, CA (UCSD) and following that a fellowship in cerebrovascular imaging at UCSD, which later focused on transcranial ultrasound.
