Biography: Growing up, I had several family members and friends who worked in medicine. I always looked up to them and knew I wanted to go into healthcare myself. \n Family medicine is the best fit for me, as it allows me to take care of the patient throughout their lifetime and build a personal relationship with them over years of care. \n I pride myself on listening closely to the individual needs of each patient and on taking the time to review treatment options with them. \n As a Florida native, I've always spent a lot of time on and around the water, including lakes, beaches and pools. Since moving to North Carolina for physician assistant school, I still enjoy those water activities but have also found a love for pickleball and reading in my free time.

Biography: My career in healthcare started in 2016 when I earned my first bachelor's degree which was in exercise science. My love for fitness bloomed into an even bigger passion for overall health and wellness when I became a registered nurse the next year. \n I thrived in the hospital setting - particularly in the cardiac and intensive care units. While I loved helping my critical patients, I realized I could make an even bigger impact on people's lives by becoming a family medicine nurse practitioner. \n After seven years of being at patients' bedside in the hospital, I decided it was time to build long-lasting relationships with my patients. So, I began to work as a nurse practitioner and offer patients a safe, judgment-free zone. My degree in exercise science is still useful, as I'm always encouraging good nutrition and daily movement to prevent and manage diseases. \n I love educating my patients and helping them fully understand their conditions and treatment plan. I'm thorough in my physical exams and in the way I communicate. My goal is always to help my patients become the best and healthiest versions of themselves. \n My husband also works in healthcare, and he's my biggest supporter. When we're not working, we enjoy travel, weightlifting, ballroom dancing in our dance studio and performing in shows. We recently welcomed our first child, and we love every minute of being new parents. Our family also includes two large, energetic dogs. We enjoy taking them on long trail walks.

I fell in love with medicine and worked as an emergency department RN before becoming a nurse practitioner. \n Navigating health and wellness can be confusing and complicated. So, I encourage my patients to ask me questions as we work together to find the best management plan to sustain health and prevent illness. \n A positive attitude goes a long way, so I like to focus on the good and provide encouragement to my patients when times are tough. \n I was honored to earn the Graduate Leadership Award at UNC Greensboro in 2018. \n When not at work, you can usually find me hiking with my dog, kayaking or playing my banjo.
