Dr. Maxine Moncrieffe, DDS

I recently visited Maxine Momcrieffe for a routine checkup, had some procedures that took over two months and numerous office visits. I received two crowns, two fillings, and a deep cleaning. While I initially trusted the dentist's recommendations, I am deeply disappointed with the outcome because they did not give me antibiotics. Ultimately this led to a very concerning and life-threatening experience. Following these treatments, I was weak, sick and visited several doctors as well as weekly labs and procedures to find out the reason for my illness and weigh loss. In the emergency room they found a severe bacterial infection that required hospitalization for 23 days and resulted in open heart surgery to replace a damaged valve. It is alarming to note that no antibiotics were prescribed before, during, or after the procedures, which according to my new dentist, is a standard practice for such extensive work. I will not recommend her.

Office staff do not put effort into paying back patients after insurance has paid them. They take over payments and expect you to use them in the office.

The dental hygentist was great. Theresa who manages the front desk was not kind at all. I had to cancel an appointment because I am in horrific pain and after a 15 minute hold she picks up the phone and hangs up. I then have to call back for her to say. It will be 50 dollars for the cancellation. I mean I had read the reviews but figured I never had a too terrible experience. But the lack of empathy and apology for keeping someone on hold for 15 minutes is not okay. I cancelled all my future app

I travel from Charlotte, NC at least twice each year to visit Dr. Moncrieffe because of the great experience my family and I receive each time. Amazingly friendly yet professional staff. Definitely 5 stars.

I fear the needle, her touch was gentle and without pain. The staff was courteous and caring. "Are you doing OK? Is there anything we can get you? The process was smooth.

I've been a patient of Dr. Moncrieffe for several years. I love how she doesn't JUST care about her patient's teeth, she cares about the WHOLE patient's health. My mom and husband have been her patient all well over the years. The staff is awesome and many have been with them for years. Whether you're having a simply cleaningor root canal, Dr. Moncrieffe and her staff are going to do a fantastic job.
