Terrible office
I got weird vibes from the front office check in to the doctor my child was a new patient we rescheduled and got charged $50 keep in mind this was the first visit so I find that very unprofessional. Check in girl had to refer to other people for many questions didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing. I over heard inappropriate conversations as well as language from front desk staff. My child’s insurance was not verified I was asked multiple times about insurance when I already gave my info 2 times prior. My kids will not be returning. Dr Bains office is a serious joke!

Decline in patient care/awful bedside manner
It has taken me a really long time to write this review because I was extremely upset after our last visit (about a year ago now). I wanted to write this review from a place of honesty and not anger, so I held off until I was certain I could write this out objectively. I had been taking my kids to Dr. Bain's office since they were little. My kids are now 11 and 14. We didn't really have issues until the last few years. My neurodivergent son has always struggled with personal hygiene, which is very common amongst people with ADHD due to differences in executive functioning. We started bringing my son to Dr. Bain every 6 months for a cleaning while he had braces on to ensure he was getting his teeth cleaned more frequently since he was not doing a good job on his own. I also assisted in monitoring him brushing his teeth and sometimes even brushing them for him after being told over and over that he wasn't doing a good job. No problem, that's my job as a parent - we worked together to try

Dr. Bain takes a thorough and conservative approach to dental care which is something we were looking for. He's incredibly knowledgeable and does not see the need of extraneous procedures. He's quick with baby teeth extractions (he completed the procedure while he told my child he was prepping, and my child never noticed the procedure was done until Dr. Bain said, "Ready to begin? We're actually done!" Great job!) Dr Bain is not in a rush to push orthodontia work and shows concern for his patients comfortability with dental procedures. My only wish is that he would work a little more patiently/collaboratively with parents of young neurodivergent children. My kids are better now, but at the start, there were times when I was verbally coaching my son, and was asked to leave. There are plusses and minuses to this approach. I'd still recommend Dr. Bain.

Long time patients
We've been seeing Dr. Bain for the past 7 years. My 3 kids basically began their dental journey here. His office has always been friendly to my family. Dr.Bain is pretty direct, which I am a huge fan of. They are so organized. They prep their trays for the day, so they always have everything they need for each patient. If a procedure needs to be done, they go over the out of pocket costs and schedule. No surprise! His hygienist are always super friendly and make the dentist fun. Their office is clean and the office staff are the sweetest you'll ever meet. I think my most favorite part is they don't waste your time. I know some may feel rushed, however I appreciate not being stuck in their office for hours. As far as bedside manner, Dr. Bain is great, however he is not a therapist for a childs anxiety at the dentist, he has a job to do, and that is exactly what he does, and he does it very well. As a parent I know it is my job to let the children know what to expect.

My son has been here twice. The first time was pretty good. It felt like we were rushed and he didn’t seem very friendly. The second time we found out he had a cavity and needed a crown. Dr. Bain made me feel terrible about it.They went over the cost and I told them I would call to schedule when we were ready. The office called me twice hounding me when was I ready to schedule. I made it very clear I was aware of what he needed done and we would schedule it when we were ready. I made a appointment for tomorrow at 10am. They texted me at 4:45 and said he could have anything to eat or drink after midnight today. The procedure is 2hrs long. That means he would be able to eat until after 12pm. I called the office and said it would have been useful to know that before hand. I said I needed to reschedule for the earliest time possible. She told me there would be a cancelation fee because they require 48 hr notice. Needless to say I canceled and won’t be back. Terrible customer service.

Please DO NOT take your child here for a procedure. My daughter was recently a new patient. The cleaning was wonderful, very kid friendly and the hygienist should be praised. But our 2nd visit for a filling and crown left me in shock. It was the exact opposite of our 1st visit. I had read a few other negative procedure reviews, but unfortunately assumed that maybe the child was unruly or the parent was unreasonable. I was SO wrong to assume this. Please, DO NOT take your child, even your obedient one, here for a procedure. Dr. Bain is gruff and NOT kid friendly.

This guy has no business dealing with children. Unnecessary treatment, insists on sedatives, unfriendly/mean to the kids there. The staff seemed uncomfortable around him.
