Biography: Hi! My name is Ashleigh. I am a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor. I hold licenses in the states of Ohio, Idaho, Nebraska, and Washington. I have several non-US state clients as well. I have over 18 years experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I have worked in private practice, crisis center, hospital and school settings. I have the most counseling experience in the areas of: depression, anxiety, couples therapy, LGBTQIA+, grief/loss, eating disorders/dysmorphia, family therapy and stress management. My style of counseling is diverse. I realize therapy is not "one size fits all" so I like to partner with my clients to use methods grounded in cognitive-behavioral, client centered, and solution-focused theories. I believe in providing a safe environment as a way to encourage open communication. I will use techniques and support to empower my clients to help themselves feel better, find hope, and reach goals. Here is some personal information about me: I have been married for 18 years and we have 2 children. I was born and raised in small town Ohio, but our family recently moved to SW Florida for my husband's career. I wanted to become a counselor after the positive experience I had in counseling during my college career. My counselor helped me overcome my anxiety and improve my health and refocus.Today I cope with stress through exercise, going to the beach, long showers, and talking openly with my spouse and closest friends. Even before Covid-19, I left my in-person practice and decided to enter the world of online counseling. I think it is a great option for those with busy schedules, lack of transportation, a transient life-style, no babysitting, or those who feel more comfortable emailing, texting, or chatting virtually. I would be honored to help you establish and reach your goals to create a healthier you! Contact me today so we can get started!

Biography: I am a clinical psychologist who is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. I have been practicing for 13 years. I have experience in helping clients with depression, stress and anxiety, codependency, and family conflicts. I specialize in treating trauma, dissociation, and abuse. I believe every person has unique ways to grow and heal so I try to tailor my treatment plan to your specific needs. Many therapists focus on learning general tools to help you change your thoughts and feelings, which is often helpful. However, my approach to therapy is to help you identify internal conflicts or traumas, and then practice ways to work through these difficulties. I use tools such as Gestalt Therapy, IFS, EMDR, Psychodynamic Therapy, and guided imagery. I also try to be gentle in my approach because people need a safe place to explore themselves. I know therapy can be challenging, but I also hope to make it rewarding and fun.

Biography: Hello, Steve here- this is our first contact, as I write to give you a sense of me as a counselor and fellow human being. I grew up as a person that people were naturally drawn to talk to and was always interested in the human experience, in all of its many facets. I found one of the top ranked counseling programs in the nation at Idaho State University and received a Master of Mental Health Counseling degree and state license in 1994. I have worked with a wide range of challenging issues that come with life throughout the age-range. My approach has always been to help people better and more fully "see" themselves, through open-minded dialogue combining support with challenge to grow- and to provide the tools with which to do so. People often lose touch with their core values and find themselves lost, questioning who they really are, and what they truly need, not just want. I combine compassion and acceptance of the person with clear encouragement to take the initial steps toward their identified goals, as many clients want to change but are afraid to, and fall short, often trying to 'protect' themselves from anticipated or imagined outcomes. A meaningful and fulfilling life requires the will- fearful or not- to venture toward one's goals, without guarantees but with a belief that some risks are far outweighed by what is to be gained. Let's team up for a while to help you move positively forward on this incredible journey- your life.

Biography: I am licensed in Idaho with 34 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Biography: Hi, my name is Kristi Skeem, and have been in Counseling for over 15 years. I have a bachelors degree in Human Services Mgt., I have a Masters Degree in Counseling, and I have a doctorate degree in Business Administration with Industrial/Organizational Psychology specialization. I have worked with very diverse populations from those who are affluent and influential; and everyone in between. I have worked many years providing counseling inside with correctional populations with minimum, medium and maximum security populations, mental health and drug/alcohol agencies. I also am a public speaker for a variety of settings and events. I have walked along side of those in the counseling realm that have made life choices and/or committed crimes that shattered their life and others as well. We walk together each week, picking up life pieces, using strengths that still are within them; and starting a new life. I have also worked with influencers who are working and serving in high levels of our society, those who are in prominent roles, that struggle as other do with anxiety, stress, and transitions. I have worked with stay-at-home moms who are both winning and losing and experiencing feelings of both in their circumstances. Everyone has unique issues based on their personal circumstances, but also unique gifting and personal strengths that will help them to persevere through. I provide support for those struggling in their interpersonal relationships, preparing for relationships, or even restoring the relationship within themselves. I work with the more modern virtual vs reality identity crisis and/or disorders -that currently are not even found in the DSM-V as an official diagnosis. This is individuals who are struggling to find their way understanding their online persona vs their real-life reality. I work with individuals who have sex shame from both sides of victims to aggressors; including working with those who need freedom from pornography or other deviant behaviors. I use a Cognitive Behavioral approach to brief counseling to tackle life dilemmas. My treatment approach of cognitive behavioral therapy offers empowerment to individuals to take control of their life, understanding how core beliefs are developed, where they come from, and how they are generating thoughts, feelings and behaviors; and ultimately all outcomes. I support business leaders who might be struggling with their leadership, or other aspects of career growth. If you struggle with fear of facing daily life or the after life, let me help you. Existential after life concerns, feeling life's purpose is a huge concern for most individuals. I see my role here with you as a place of service, and I have a gift of helping and healing others through their circumstances. Invite me to come walk along in your journey and see what can be discovered about your purpose in making meaning in this life.

Biography: I am licensed in Idaho with 4 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, coping with grief, coping with loss, motivation, self esteem, confidence, & coping with life changes. I also have experience working with compassion fatigue. I work with my clients to create an open and supportive environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. My skills and techniques for talk therapy, adapted through years of school counseling and my own practice, have formed to showcase compassion, humor and the desire to help others in self-discovery. It is a modern therapy approach that highlights the three aspects of our being: mind, body and soul. Understanding these, the relationships within our body and outside of our body are crucial to re-discovering our true, authentic self. It isn't easy work, but the commitment from both the client and myself, to approach hard times with an openness and willingness is fundamental. Talk therapy and goal-setting, with intention to understand our gut-feeling, but most importantly, trust it, is my approach at helping navigate life's tricky situations.
