Care Philosophy: Dr. Barnds is passionate in diagnosing a medical problem, developing an individualized treatment plan, and implementing that plan to give his patients the best opportunity for complete recovery from injuries.

Care Philosophy: While I still enjoy performing general orthopedic procedures such as total knee replacements, carpal tunnel release, and trauma. My passion is foot and ankle surgery, in particular, the treatment of complex foot and ankle reconstruction including total ankle replacements, flat foot and cavovarus deformities, as well as tendon and ligament reconstructions. As a former collegiate tennis player, I have a passion for sports injuries related to the foot and ankle.

Care Philosophy: Growing up in the Kansas City area, I am excited to return to the region after training at some of the top centers of orthopedic education in the nation to provide excellence in the care of sports medicine knee, shoulder, and foot/ankle injuries. I am passionate about providing the same high level of care that I received as a patient/athlete during my high school and collegiate career. My primary objective as a clinician is to understand the desires of each patient regarding their respective injury/condition and hope for return to function, and to employ what I have learned to best achieve that goal.
