Following his residency, Dr. Chousleb completed a clinical fellowship in minimally invasive thoracic and foregut surgery at Boston Medical Center. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, and has performed research on microsurgery and laparoscopic surgery, critical ischemia of the lower limbs and gastric bypass complications. He is an associate professor at Florida International University's Wertheim School of Medicine and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Biography: Timothy Nowack, M.D., is a board-certified general surgeon at Baptist Health, specializing in minimally invasive, robotic and bariatric surgery. Before joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Nowack completed his fellowship at Baptist Health South Florida with Anthony Gonzalez, M.D. He is passionate about using the most up-to-date surgical technology, including the DaVinci robotic surgery platform. Because of this dedication, he earned the robotic surgical resident of the year in 2021. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
