Dr. Acevedo completed his internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, affiliated with the New York. Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He earned his medical degree from the Eastern Central University in the Dominican Republic. He holds an Associate in Arts degree from Miami Dade Community College. Dr. Acevedo enjoys hospital privileges with Memorial Miramar Hospital and Memorial West Hospital. He has engaged in extensive research, focusing on techniques for tuberculosis isolation, and brings knowledge and experience to his teaching roles, conducting seminars and contributing to grand rounds discussions. Before joining Conviva in 2023, Dr. Acevedo maintained a private practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, since 1999. He served as physician-in-charge of outpatient care at CAC Ramsay/United Healthcare from 1995 to 1999, and his experience in hospital settings includes Doctors Hospital of Hollywood, FL. Biography: David Bencomo, M.D., is board-certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He leads a team of compassionate professionals dedicated to medical excellence and is known for his individualized and personal approach to patient care at Conviva Pembroke Pines. Dr. Bencomo completed a residency in internal medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Richmond Hill, New York, from 2005-2008. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana in Havana, Cuba, and graduated in 1994.
