Biography: Syed Peeran, MD, FACS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vascular surgeon and serves as chief of surgery at Portsmouth Regional Hospital and the director of Vascular Surgery at Coastal Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery in Portsmouth, NH. Dr. Peeran is a graduate of New York Medical College and completed his general surgery residency at Baystate Medical CenterTufts University School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident and was awarded the resident teacher of the year. He then completed a prestigious vascular surgery fellowship at the Mayo ClinicDepartment of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Prior to his medical studies, Dr. Peeran earned a Master of Science in Biological Chemistry and Biophysics from University of Massachusetts at Amherst and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry from Tufts University.Dr. Peeran is board-certified in both General and Vascular Surgery and is an active Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specializes in minimally invasive endovascular repairs using advanced techniques for conditions that include carotid vascular disease, aneurysmal disease, ischemia, and aortoiliac occlusive disease. Dr. Peeran's extensive research on vascular surgical topics has been presented in peer-reviewed medical journals, textbooks, and at medical symposiums nationwide. He is a regional leader in the field of vascular surgery, serving on the Executive Committee for the Vascular Quality Initiative for the New England Vascular Society. Dr. Peeran also represents the northeast region as a member of the national Vascular Operations Council for HCA.When not seeing patients, Dr. Peeran enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Boston sports teams.

Biography: Wilmer Tracey Jones, III, MD, FACS, is a board-certified vascular surgeon with Coastal Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery and performs surgery at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Dr. Jones earned his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in General Surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Following medical school, he fulfilled a Vascular Surgery fellowship at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. He also graduated as valedictorian of his class at Virginia Military Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Jones retired as a Colonel in the United States Air Force after serving 26 years as a pilot and surgeon.Dr. Jones is board-certified in General and Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation. Prior to joining Coastal Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, he was the chief of Staff at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho, and the chief of Vascular Surgery at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, and the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society. Dr. Jones has over 20 years of experience performing vascular surgery and has published extensive research in the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery and the Journal of Vascular Surgery, among others.He currently welcomes new patients and referrals.
