I am lucky to have had the opportunity to train under brilliant thinkers and exceptional role models from whom I have learned the importance of ensuring that each patient truly understands his or her diagnosis and the rationale behind treatment. I am excited to be joining the Department of Hematology at Weill Cornell and look forward to continuing in clinical investigations in hopes of improving diagnosis and treatment in the fields of thrombosis and immune thrombocytopenia. Dr. Mears has a strong clinical interest in women with breast cancer and is the Medical Director of the OctoberWoman Foundation.Additionally, Dr. Mears is pursuing clinical research in the fields of Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma as well as breast cancer. He is also actively engaged in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
