Biography: Kathryn Patrick, MD, FACOG, is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician with HCA Florida Maternal Fetal Care. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Vanderbilt University and then became a true Gator, completing her medical school, Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship training at the University of Florida. Although she grew up in Kansas City, she has been a Gainesville resident since 2008. Dr. Patrick's primary goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate, cutting-edge medical care to women with unique pregnancies. She has special interests in the management of maternal medical complications of pregnancy and ultrasonographic prenatal diagnosis. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Patrick lives in Gainesville with her husband, an Orthopedic Surgeon in the community, and her two young children. She enjoys all things related to her kids, reading, cooking and entertaining, and live music. Care Philosophy: Dr. Egerman received his bachelor of science in engineering (biomedical) from Tulane University and his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Egerman completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida. He did his fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland and returned to the south to begin his faculty career at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. While in Memphis he completed a second residency in Internal Medicine and for the past several years held joint appointments in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee. In December 2011, he returned to the University of Florida and holds joint appointments in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Internal Medicine at the University of Florida.??Dr. Egerman is clinically active as a perinatologist and as an internist. Dr. Egerman is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He has a long standing interest in medical complications of pregnancy as well as fetal sonography. He has authored several peer-review articles and text book chapters and as a co-investigator, has received funding from the NIH as well as the CDC. He is as a peer reviewer for scientific journals in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. His outside interests include non-profit work for medically and non- medically related charities, animal advocacy, golf and kayaking.
