Biography: Dr. Sotomayor is the director of the newly established Cancer Institute at Tampa General Hospital. He is a pioneer in the field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy and an internationally renowned expert in lymphoma research and treatment. Prior to joining Tampa General, he was the director of the George Washington University Cancer Center with responsibility and authority over all aspects of cancer care and research at GW and affiliated health systems. He was also a professor of medicine in the division of hematology/oncology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Sotomayor specializes in the treatment of lymphomas and leukemias. The accomplished physician-scientist's ongoing research is directed toward cancer immunology and immunotherapy with special focus in developing novel immune-based approaches for the treatment of lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies. Considered as a world expert in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), he has more than 140 publications including seminal discoveries published in top tier journals such as Nature Immunology, Nature Medicine, Blood, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Cancer Cell among others. He has been the recipient of several awards, including the recipient of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) CURE Lifetime Achievement award in 2017. Dr. Sotomayor is involved in several major medical societies and organizations and currently is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board, Lymphoma Research Foundation, member of the Executive Committee of the Mantle Cell Lymphoma Consortium and member of several committees of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). He has also served in committees at the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI)

Biography: Dr. McCann is a Board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Palm Beach County. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of patients with ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer, with a focus on the use of minimally invasive techniques. He has presented his research on innovations in Gynecologic Oncology Robotics and Robotic Surgery and Endometrial Cancer Staging Surgery at professional symposiums, and his work has been published in several peer-reviewed publications. Dr. McCann received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England and completed residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was awarded the Galloway Fellowship in Gynecology Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY and also completed a fellowship in Gynecology Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. After completing his fellowship training, Dr. McCann served as an Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School Hospital and on the medical staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA and other hospitals throughout New England. He joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2022.

Dr Haider received her Bachelor of Science as well as her Medical Degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA followed by Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center - University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.
