Biography: Bianca Monteiro, MD, FCCP, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pulmonologist with Pulmonary Associates in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Dr. Monteiro earned her medical degree from Universidade Federal Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She completed internship and residency training at Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut. She then fulfilled fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at both Tulane University in New Orleans and Yale University in New Haven. In addition to English, she speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Dr. Monteiro is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine with over a decade of experience. She provides comprehensive care for diagnosing and treating lung conditions and diseases of the respiratory system including asthma, pneumonia, pulmonary vascular disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She also has expertise in pulmonary arterial hypertension, cardio pulmonary exercise testing, and inpatient safety rounds practices.
