Throughout medical school and a general surgery residency, I learned the impact surgical treatment can have on patients. Specifically, I saw the great benefits of minimally invasive surgery, and have made that a focus of my career. \n Minimally invasive surgery with robotic laparoscopy decreases discomfort after surgery, and leads to shorter hospital stays and recovery times as compare to traditional surgery methods. Many of the operations we used to do with large abdominal incisions are now routinely completed using robotic techniques with tiny incisions. \n I am a Fellow of the American College of Surgery and a member of the American Hernia Society, and I remain continuously certified by the American Board of Surgery. I believe every patient deserves an accurate assessment of their condition and an honest review of treatment options.
