Biography: Mariana De Michele, M.D., is a board-certified primary care physician at Baptist Health. Biography: Matthew Ciminero, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in orthopedic trauma and adult reconstruction, at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care, part of Baptist Health. He is fluent in English and has basic proficiency in Spanish. Prior to joining Baptist Health in in 2022, Dr. Ciminero completed his orthopaedic trauma fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. During his orthopaedic surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center, he served as the administrative chief resident and ran a COVID-19 intensive care unit during the initial peak wave of COVID in 2020. In 2022, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association asked him to join their new mental health task force to research and educate other surgeons about the psychological associations with musculoskeletal trauma. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Medical Association. Dr. Ciminero uses his Psychology background to provide holistic care for his patients beyond the physical ailment, as trauma affects everyone differently.
