Biography: Dr. Michelle DeLeon is a board-certified surgeon specializing in colorectal surgery. Dr. DeLeon earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. She went on to complete her internship as well as residency in general surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She is fellowship-trained in colorectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. She has completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University. Dr. DeLeon is trained in advanced surgical techniques including robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS). She treats a wide variety of colorectal diseases including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis and anorectal conditions. Dr. DeLeon practices at Einstein Colon and Rectal Surgery. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the Association for Surgical Education, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and the Association of Women Surgeons. He works alongside a robust team of care providers to support the needs and care of the community.He graduated in the top 10% of his class at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, GA and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, WI.He treats high-risk pregnancy, painful and irregular periods as well as provides prenatal treatment, labor and delivery services and annual exams. He is board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology.
