A cancer diagnosis isn't easy on anyone and I try to make the treatment process as seamless as possible. I work with a comprehensive team, including social workers, case managers and patient navigators, who provide outstanding care for our patients and families. My team and I strive to be as accessible as possible. I spend significant time with my patients and their families. We discuss the available treatments, including the standards of care and clinical trials. I want them to feel comfortable with their treatment options and all facets of care. I'm passionate about helping my patients achieve cures. In more than 20 years in this field, I've seen hematology and oncology evolve tremendously. We're able to cure the majority of the patients we treat. I love to see my patients growI even receive invitations to their weddings more than 20 years after treating them.
