Biography: Dr. Hoppe was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree at Stanford University, medical degree at Cornell University Medical College and Master of Public Health (MPH) at Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his radiation oncology residency and Mortimer Lacher lymphoma research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in NY and received the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Resident/Fellow Research Award. An established cancer researcher, Dr. Hoppe is the author of over 70 published manuscripts and book chapters in various peer-reviewed medical journals, including Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer, Journal of Thoracic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Radiotherapy and Oncology and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics. His research focus has been on reducing side effects of radiation and better understanding patient reported quality of life outcomes among patients with lung cancer, prostate cancer and lymphoma. Dr. Hoppe is currently the Chair of the Lymphoma Subcommittee of Particle Therapy Cooperative Oncology Group (PTCOG), Secretary of the Proton Collaborative Group (PCG), and serves on the American College of Radiology (ACR) Expert Lymphoma Guidelines Committee, American Board of Radiology (ABR) Lymphoma Examination Board, the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Education Committee and the International Journal of Particle Therapy Editorial Board.
