Biography: Christine Townsend, MD is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center's Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine. She specializes in seeing patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, and sports and dance-related injuries. Dr. Townsend is a former dancer who spent 6 years performing professionally and teaching dance prior to earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Missouri Kansas City. She received her MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian Columbia and Cornell. Dr. Darwin Chen specializes in hip and knee replacement, minimally invasive surgery, as well as complex and revision arthroplasty. After graduating from Rice University, she attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch where she was Vice President of her class and an Interprofessional Scholar. She did an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor Scott & White and completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the then #7 program in the nation Baylor College of Medicine and trained at the then #2 U.S. News and World Report rehabilitation hospital TIRR Memorial Hermann. Dr. Isidro was awarded Top Doctor's Women in Medicine Award in 2022 for being a Top Sports Medicine doctor in New York.
