Biography: Mary Abbott Poag, MD is a board-certified Obstetrics-Gynecology physician with more than 20 years of experience in the field. Dr. Poag has a special interest in 1st Trimester pregnancies, menopausal treatment, minimally invasive surgery, contraceptive counseling, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, and adolescent medicine. Dr. Poag earned her Medical Degree from Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans, LA. She completed her OB/GYN Residency Program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During her training, Dr. Poag was honored with the Outstanding Resident Award from the Baylor Department OB/GYN, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society Stars and Bars Chapter at Tulane University Medical School, The Lemmon MD Award from Tulane University, and American Medical Women's Association Achievement Award. Dr. Poag is a member of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Society.
