Biography: Lourdes T Santiago, M.D. received her medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and completed her internship and residency in General Surgery at the University of South Florida. Dr. Santiago also completed both a fellowship and research fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of South Florida. An advocate for education, Dr. Santiago gives regular presentations on the topics of colon and rectal cancers, including education reaching the Spanish-speaking population. Dr. Santiago is a proud Veteran, having served as a Major in the United States Army.

Care Philosophy: Xavier F Cannella, MD, FACS is a peripheral vascular and general surgeon. He began his practice after completing his vascular fellowship in his native Tampa in 1991. He is certified by the America Board of Surgery and The American Board of Wound Healing. He is a Fellow of the America College of Surgeons, a member of The Florida Vascular Society, Vascular Access Society of America and The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. He is fluent in Spanish and sees patients ages 18 years and older.

Care Philosophy: Ajay Patel MD is a board certified general surgeon vascular surgeon and bariatric medicine physician who has been in practice since 1999 He was valedictorian of his class at Brandon Senior High School in Brandon Fla and earned his Bachelor of Science degree with honors at the University of Miami in Coral Gables He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and then undertook his general surgery residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville S C where he earned the Joseph C McAlhany Award for Resident of the Year three consecutive years and completed his tenure as Academic Chief Resident He next completed advanced fellowship training in vascular surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis Dr Patel s special clinical interests include minimally invasive endovascular surgery peripheral vascular angiography wound care arterio venous fistulas and grafts and the surgical correction of abdominal aortic aneurysms
