Biography: Dr. Yi (Wilson) Wang is a board-certified Surgeon at HCA Florida Lake City Surgical Specialists. He earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in Neuroscience in Shanghai China, from a top-ranking institution nationally and globally. Dr. Wang completed his Neurosurgery residency there, and he later practiced as an attending neurosurgeon with a focus on neurosurgery and neurovascular intervention.In 2005, Dr. Wang came to US as a visiting fellow in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Virginia, then worked as a neuroscientist there and published numerous articles and book chapters and presented on many conferences. He then underwent a general surgery internship at the University of Virginia and PGY-2 training at Lincoln Medical Center, Weill Cornell Medical College.Although Dr. Wang returned to work as a neuroscientist at the University of Virginia due to immigration legalities. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Malit received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology. She went on to complete a general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center where she achieved the rank of Chief Resident, and a colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Malit is an active community volunteer and has contributed her musical talents to hospital events and charitable fundraisers as the lead singer of a band made up of medical colleagues. She is fluent in English and Tagalog.
