Biography: Dr. Conde is a native of Ecuador, South America. She received her medical degree from Universidad Catolica Santiago de Guayaquil (Catholic University of Guayaquil, Ecuador) in 1987. She completed her year of rural medicine service in Ecuador prior to moving to Miami, Florida to complete her clinical rotations. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Temple University, affiliated Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Her postgraduate fellowship in medical oncology was at the University of Pittsburg, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Dr. Conde worked with the Amarillo VA Health Care System, Harrington Cancer Center, and Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center as a medical oncologist prior to joining South Texas Oncology and Hematology at the START Center in 2015. She is also fluent in Spanish and board certified in medical oncology.

Biography: Telehealth visits are available.Dr. Travis Holloway earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin prior to moving to San Antonio for his medical school and General Surgery residency training. During this time he also completed a two-year research position funded by an NIH grant and received a Masters Degree in Clinical Investigation. Dr. Holloway joined General Surgical Associates in 2016. He is an active member of the Texas Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society, and the J. Bradley Aust Surgical Society. During his chief resident year, he was awarded the Raleigh Ross Scholarship through the Texas Surgical Society and has been a resident/fellow member of the American College of Surgeons since 2009. Biography: Dr. Esha Oommen attended undergraduate school at University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Oommen completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. Biography: Dr. Drew W. Rasco is the Associate Director of Clinical Research at START. He is board-certified in both Hematology and Oncology. He completed medical school in 2003 at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, TX. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He followed this with fellowships in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.Dr. Rasco's major interest is in the development of new anticancer agents, with a special interest in malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs.Dr. Rasco is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He was a recipient of the Resident Achievement Award from Emory University. He and his partners at START have led an extensive number of phase 1 clinical trials, including those that eventually led to the FDA approvals of pembrolizumab, cemiplimab, abemaciclib, copanlisib, and others. Most recently, he served as the principal investigator for the combination of lenvatinib and pembrolizumab, which received FDA approval for endometrial (uterine) cancer in 2019.
