Biography: Steven Tversky, DO, is a vascular neurologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens and an assistant professor of clinical neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine. He performs procedures at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. Board certified in neurology, Dr. Tversky has a clinical interest in management and prevention of stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, and stroke in young adults. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Stroke Association. Dr. Tversky has published his research in medical journals, including the Journal of Intensive Care Medicine and the Journal of Emergency Medicine, and has presented his work at national and international neurology medical conferences. After graduating from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Tversky completed his residency in neurology at NorthWell Health. He served his fellowship in vascular neurology and stoke at Montefiore Medical Center.

Care Philosophy: For my entire career, I've looked for training opportunities that span across disciplines so I can have the perspective to deal with complex conditions. In neuromuscular cases, there is a bigger story than can be explained by a single subspecialty. If you or your child has a condition like cerebral palsy, arthrogryposis, brachial plexus, or another similar neuromuscular problem, I would like to use what I know about neurorehabilitation, nerves, and orthopaedic surgery to help him or her function better.

Care Philosophy: For all patients, regardless of age or background, I aim to learn about their functional goals and meet them where they are in their journey toward recovery. I like to use a multi-modal approach to managing the pain and limitations from their injury by utilizing exercise as medicine, ultrasound or spinal injections, bracing/orthotics, and pharmacology to help them heal. Also, staying on top of cutting-edge technologies that patients seek is important and something we aim to offer when a new treatment shows promise.
