I discuss the diagnosis and treatment options and do my best to guide patients in choosing the treatments best suited to their individual needs and preferences. My patients leave their outpatient appointments feeling well-informed and involved in the decision- making process regarding their treatment. I attempt to treat all my patients by non-surgical methods initially, and only recommend surgery when this becomes the best option. Whenever surgery does become necessary, I always do my best to operate with great care and thoroughness. Biography: Dr. Katharine T. Criner is a caring and attentive orthopedic surgeon serving the community of Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Criner attended Temple University, where she received her medical degree, and completed both her residency in orthopedic surgery and internship in general surgery at Temple University Hospital. She also completed a fellowship in hand surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute. The focus of her practice is the adult (18 years and older) with injury or problems of the hand, wrist, elbow and upper arm. Dr. Criner is a part of Einstein Regional Orthopedics - SkS3. Dr. Criner is a strong proponent of education to empower individuals to opt for healthier choices and in effect improve their overall health. Biography: Committed to medical education and training, Dr. Saulino is an assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University -- Jefferson Medical College. From 2001 to 2005, he served as residency program director in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is also an adjunct professor of occupational therapy at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University School of Medicine.

Biography: Dr. Mariani completed his Orthopaedic Residency in 1986. Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, he is a member of the AOAO. Dr. Mariani served as Chief of Staff for Kennedy Memorial Hospitals. Having served as its Director of Orthopedics at Kennedy Health System, as well, Dr Mariani was instrumental in the growth of the orthopedic program at the institution. He has been involved with several advances in orthopaedic care, and is currently an industry consultant for Stryker Orthopedics. He has been named to the Courier Post's ``Best of South Jersey`` list and was most recently named Top Physicians by South Jersey Magazine, 2013. Currently, Dr. Mariani focuses on innovative techniques for knee replacement surgeries.
