Every patient deserves the direct attention and examination by their physician, not just by a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. My staff and I work hard to limit waiting times to 30 minutes or less. We try to make your visit as comfortable and professional as possible. I review the results of the examination, xrays, and other studies, etc., with the patient and do everything I can to help them understand their condition and the treatment options I recommend. Good decisions are the result of shared knowledge and mutual respect. Good decisions lead to good results.

I would rather have people understand that I would like to help people rather than that I trained well. Medicine is fun, because you can have relationships with people. It was great to serve as a military field surgeon before entering my residency at Fitzsimmons hospital. One can still feel a little altruism about serving our country.

Care Philosophy: Sports played a large part in my life, when during a track meet I fractured my forearm, leading to my first encounter with an orthopedic surgeon. This early event sparked my interest in medicine, specifically in the field of orthopedics.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Bainbridge's approach to patient care is multi-faceted. An accurate diagnosis and a specific treatment plan, which may include physical or other manual therapies, medication or injection therapy, consideration of surgery, and always includes patient education, are key. The ultimate goal is not only pain relief, but also the empowerment of patients with the knowledge and self care programs to manage their spine and other conditions over a lifetime.
