Biography: Anthony R. Tascone, M.D., FACS,specializes in general surgery and bariatric surgery at ChristianaCare. Dr. Tascone earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. He completed his general surgery residency at Christiana Care and a fellowship in bariatric/minimally invasive surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Tascone specializes in bariatric surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and revisional bariatric surgery. His practice also includes foregut surgery, with a focus on the treatment of achalasia, gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD), and hiatal and diaphragmatic hernias. Biography: Audrey A. Sernyak, M.D., CPE, FACCDr. Sernyak is a cardiologist and program director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship program at Christiana Care Health System. Dr. Sernyak joined Christiana Care most recently from St. Francis Healthcare, where she was director of the Cardiovascular Service Line and an interventional cardiologist. She has 16 years of previous patient experience performing peripheral and coronary interventions at cardiology practices and as an investigator for clinical research trials. Dr. Sernyak is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.Dr. Sernyak earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed an internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School. She is a Certified Physician Executive by the American Association for Physician Leadership, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has earned multiple recognitions as a Top Doctor by Philadelphia Magazine.
