Biography: Eileen de Grandis, M.D., RPVI, FACS, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at BocaCare | Vascular Surgery, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of aortic disease, peripheral artery disease for limb salvage, cerebrovascular disease, hemodialysis access, as well as comprehensive venous and lymphatic treatment. Dr. de Grandis joined BocaCare from Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Bayfront Health Punta Gorda. During her time there as a lead vascular surgeon, she served as co-chair of the Radiation Safety Committee and provided training, education and enacted safety measures for the staff. During her residency at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. de Grandis served as the administrative chief. She was responsible for managing 75 surgical residents and their training rotations. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed publications, including the Journal of Vascular Surgery and Perspectives in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy. Dr. de Grandis' goal is to empower and educate patients to understand their medical condition and treatment options. She is an alumnus of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her general surgery training at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in Miami, Florida. Her clinical interests encompass a diverse variety of general surgery procedures including biliary, hernia, intestinal and breast surgery. She is trained and certified in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. She also cares for patients with emergent surgical pathology. Dr. Allen provides excellent patient care with a comforting bedside manner that is the foundation of a strong patient-physician relationship. Biography: Ionut Albu, D.O., is a primary care physician at Baptist Health. He specializes in preventative medicine, weight loss management and musculoskeletal pain. Fluent in English and Romanian, he also speaks conversational Spanish. Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Albu completed his internal medicine residency at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL. During his residency, he served as chief resident. He also trained in the evolving field of preventative cardiology to help detect coronary artery plaque and reverse it through imaging software. Dr. Albu believes in connecting with patients, treating each one like a family member and understanding daily habits to provide recommendations to prevent health problems. When not seeing patients, he enjoys playing tennis and jazz saxophone, watching college football and exploring Floridas beaches.
