Biography: Dr. Rolando Acevedo has joined Conviva as a board certified internal medicine specialist. Dr. Acevedo completed his internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, affiliated with the New York. Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He earned his medical degree from the Eastern Central University in the Dominican Republic. He holds an Associate in Arts degree from Miami Dade Community College. Dr. Acevedo enjoys hospital privileges with Memorial Miramar Hospital and Memorial West Hospital. He has engaged in extensive research, focusing on techniques for tuberculosis isolation, and brings knowledge and experience to his teaching roles, conducting seminars and contributing to grand rounds discussions. Before joining Conviva in 2023, Dr. Acevedo maintained a private practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, since 1999. He served as physician-in-charge of outpatient care at CAC Ramsay/United Healthcare from 1995 to 1999, and his experience in hospital settings includes Doctors Hospital of Hollywood, FL. His affinity for seniors and belief in active listening, recognizing that improving quality of life and health hinges on understanding his patients' needs, align perfectly with Conviva's patient-centered values. Dr. Acevedo's passion for healthcare is driven by a deep-seated desire to help others and serve his community.
