Biography: Dr. Spiros Hiotis, MD is a Complex General Surgical Oncology Specialist who practices in New York, NY. He is 58 years old. Dr. Spiros Hiotis, MD is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai Queens.

Care Philosophy: My philosophy is simple: the patient comes first. As part of the Genitourinary Oncology Program at Weill Cornell Medicine, I am committed to delivering the best care to my patients. Our world-class multidisciplinary team ensures that we treat the patient as a whole, not just the cancer. I am driven by the desire to improve therapy of urological malignancies by identifying the genetic "Achilles heel" of each patient's cancer. Through my research, I am committed to developing "precision medicine" approaches and conducting clinical trials for treatment of bladder cancer and other genitourinary malignancies.

Biography: Dr. Stoopler received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University in 1971 and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1975. He completed his residency at North Shore University Hospital/Memorial Hospital and his oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City before joining the Columbia faculty in 1980. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, the International Society of Gastrointestinal Oncology, the American Federation for Clinical Research and the Southwest Oncology Group. Dr. Stoopler is involved in patient care, clinical research and teaching on the medical oncology service.
