He completed his residency in general surgery and fellowship in trauma and critical care medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Society of Breast Surgeons.
