Biography: Salil Shah, MD is board certified in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Shah was the valedictorian of his graduating class at Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ where he received numerous teaching awards. Dr. Shah continued his training with a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital the main teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston, Ma. Dr. Shah has a special interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complex coronary revascularization, arrhythmia surgery, aortic surgery and the surgical treatment of heart failure.
