Biography: Amit Goyal, MD, FACC wants all patients of Premier Cardiovascular Institute to understand that plaque build-up can affect almost all parts of the body. Most people are aware of blockages in the heart blood vessels which lead to heart attacks or chest discomfort.When the arteries going to the arms, legs, kidneys and brain get blocked, it can lead to arm or leg pain, difficult to control blood pressure or strokes. He specializes in opening up arteries in all of these areas so that our patients can enjoy and live their lives to the fullest. Dr. Amit Goyal graduated summa cum laude from Pennsylvania State University and went on to graduate magna cum laude from the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. While serving his cardiology fellowship at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center, Dr. Goyal was appointed one of two Chief Fellows by the Cardiology Department. He was also acknowledged as a Visiting Fellow in clinical medicine at Columbia University. Dr. Goyal is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Biography: G.S.V. Ramanathan, MD, FACC joined Dayton Heart Center, now Premier Cardiovascular Institute,after enjoying over 16 years in practice in Bedford, Indiana. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Ramanathan also served in several leadership roles, including Director of Cardiology and Director of the Catheterization Lab at Dunn Memorial Hospital and Bedford Regional Medical Center. Dr. Ramanathan earned his medical degree and completed both an internship and residency program at Kerala University in Kerala India. He completed additional training in the United States, including an internship at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois; a residency program at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan; and a cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute - Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Dr. Ramanathan is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
