Biography: Dr. Bakdash is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. He joined Heartland Cardiology in August 2008. He received his Internal Medicine residency training at St. Louis University and his Cardiology fellowship at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. He is a clinical assistant professor at University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. He serves as the Chair of Cardiology at Via Christi Hospitals. He performs heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiography, permanent pacemaker implantations, and all types of stress tests. He has a special interest in preventive cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging. Dr. Bakdash enjoys spending his free time with his wife and four children.

He is a certified Cardiac Device Specialist by Heart Rhythm Society. He is also a Heart Failure/Cardiac Transplant Specialist. Dr. Farhoud is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is the former Heart Failure Program Director and the Heart Transplant Cardiologist at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, and the former President of Medical Staff at Kansas Medical Center in Andover. He has extensive research experience in Heart Failure, Immunosuppression Therapy and Left Ventricular Assist Device. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, and Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Farhoud is married and has three children.
