Dr. Merrill's interest in orthopaedic trauma led her to an international fellowship in lower extremity trauma in Santiago, Chile with the AO Foundation, one of the most prestigious global orthopaedic educational organizations. While there, not only did she learn about the delivery of orthopaedic care in South America, she improved her ability to speak conversational and medical Spanish. She specializes in the treatment of lower extremity fractures, sports injuries, foot and ankle deformities, and arthritis, including total ankle replacements.
