Biography: Pierre F. Saldinger, MD, FACSis the Senior Vice President of Perioperative Services at NewYork-Presbyterian. and Attending physician at NewYork- Presbyterian Queens. He is also a professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr.Saldingerjoins NYP from NewYork-Presbyterian Queens where he serves asChairman of the Department ofSurgeryandSurgeon-in-Chief.He is alsothe Director of theNewYork-Presbyterian surgicalquality and safety programand aProfessor of Clinical Surgery atWeill Cornell Medical College. Adistinguishedandwell-publishedsurgeon,he hasextensiveexpertisein the surgical treatment of cancer and benign disorders of the pancreas,liver, gallbladder, bile ductsand surgical quality improvement. Hestudied medicine at theUniversity of Basel School of Medicine Switzerland,earned his medicaldegree fromSwitzerland's University ofBernSchool of MedicineandaMaster of HealthAdministration from the Mailman School ofPublic Health Columbia University. He completedhis residency inGeneral Surgery at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School, andclinical fellowship in hepatobiliarysurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Biography: Tiffany Pinchinat, MD, is a general surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian MedicalGroup Brooklyn and an assistant professor of general surgery at Weill CornellMedicine. After graduating from Albany Medical College of Union University, Dr.Pinchinat served her internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed her residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. She served her fellowship in surgical critical care at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Pinchinat's work has been published in various medical journals and she has presented her research at annual medical meetings. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons and a recipient of the Gerald W. Shaftan TraumaResident Award.
