Care Philosophy: Dr Locke is a medical oncologist and translational researcher in the Department of Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy. He leads the Immune Cell Therapy (ICE-T) initiative at Moffitt, an integrated cross-departmental translational team. Dr Locke is a clinical research leader in the field of Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell therapy, acting as a national P.I. for several pivotal trials of anti-CD19 CARs for lymphoma. In addition, Dr Locke is translating findings from his laboratory into new cellular immunotherapies such as the Moffitt created whole protein survivin tumor vaccine for multiple myeloma. Dr Locke graduated with a B.S.

Care Philosophy: Dr Druta earned her MD degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila, Romainia. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Druta most recently completed a Sarcoma Medical Oncology Fellowship (Willie Tichenor Sarcoma Fellowship) at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Druta's clinical interest is in the development of clinical trials focusing on targeted therapeutics specific to sarcoma patients. Her research interest is in the translational aspects of sarcoma biology focusing specifically on Well-differentiated/Differential Liposarcoma and Leiomyosarcoma.

Care Philosophy: Dr Rachid Baz is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist who came to Moffitt in 2008 from Cleveland Clinic. Currently, Dr Baz is the Myeloma Section Head in the Department of Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center and co-Director of the Pentecost Family Myeloma Research Center. He has developed a special expertise in managing patients with plasma cell disorders such as multiple myeloma, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), plasmacytoma, primary systematic amyloidosis, and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia (WM). Among other awards, he was the recipient of the Junior Clinical Science Award at Moffitt, and the University of South Florida Outstanding Resident Teaching Award.

Care Philosophy: Dr Peguero received his MD from Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico. He completed a neurology residency at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. After completing his residency, Dr Peguero completed a fellowship in epilepsy and EEG at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After his fellowship, Dr Peguero was employed at The Watson Clinic, Department of Neurology, Lakeland, Florida, where he also served as Chief of Service of Neurology at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Dr Peguero was an Assistant Professor at Ponce School of Medicine, and most recently, he has worked in private practice. Dr Peguero's clinical interest is in General Neurology, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Care Philosophy: Dr Pinilla-Ibarz has been at Moffitt since 2006 and holds the rank of Senior Member and Head of Lymphoma Section in the Department of Malignant Hematology. Dr Pinilla-Ibarz received the 2016-17 Moffitt Physician of the Year Award. He was also the recipient of the ASCO young investigator award in 2003 and the ASCO career development award in 2007. Dr Pinilla-Ibarz is nationally and internationally known for his expertise in chronic leukemia and he currently has over 120 peer-reviewed publications. He has received grant support through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and also from multiple industry partners. His clinical interests include chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphoid leukemia.

Care Philosophy: Dr Chahoud completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center and completed his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr Chahoud's clinical and research includes advanced kidney and penile cancers. He's fluent in English, Spanish, French and Arabic.

Care Philosophy: Dr Shafique earned his Medical Degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center and a subsequent Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center. Although Dr Shafique devotes most of his time to treating patients with lung cancer, he also sees patients with a broad spectrum of diagnoses as part of early-phase clinical trials. Additionally, he manages medical oncology treatments for patients with Gynecologic malignancies.

Care Philosophy: Dr Nam Tran is a neuro-oncology surgeon at Moffitt Cancer Center and assistant professor of oncology and neurosurgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr Tran completed his fellowship training at Moffitt, following a residency in neurosurgery at Medical College of Virginia. He was chief resident his final year. Prior to that, he was affiliated for several years with the University of California-Irvine, where he received a Ph.D. in neuroscience and served as an assistant project scientist. Dr Tran's research interests include regulation of the blood brain barrier, tumor and trauma-associated cerebral edema, central nervous system malignancies and spine biomechanics.

Care Philosophy: Dr Vania Phuoc is an Assistant Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Medical Oncology and practices at Moffitt at Wesley Chapel. Dr Phuoc received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She completed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center, where she also served as Chief Fellow for the James A Haley Veterans' Hospital. Dr Phuoc's clinical focuses are benign and malignant hematology and breast cancers.

Care Philosophy: Dr Tiago Biachi de Castria is an Associate Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Biachi de Castria received his MD degree from Universidade Federal de Civ™ncias da Sav?de de Porto Alegre, Brazil. He also obtained a Doctorate degree in Internal Medicine and Therapeutics from Svo Paulo Federal University. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Svo Paulo Federal University and his Clinical Oncology Fellowship at the Svo Paulo University - Svo Paulo Cancer Institute. Dr Biachi de Castria was an attending in the Gastrointestinal Oncology Service at the Svo Paulo Cancer Institute and Sv?rio-Libanv™s Hospital.

Care Philosophy: Dr Iman Imanirad is an Assistant Member at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is also a Professor of Oncology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr Imanirad received his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Florida where he also completed three years of hematology oncology fellowship. After completing his fellowship, he worked as a medical Oncologist and hematologist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to fulfill the requirements for a J1 visa. During his fellowship, Dr Imanirad was the recipient of several awards such as Most Outstanding Fellow Award and Fellow of the Year Award. He was also awarded the Moffitt High Performer Award in 2019.

Care Philosophy: Dr Christine Sam is an Assistant Member in the Department of Individualized Cancer Management/Senior Adult Oncology Program. Dr Sam received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at University of Michigan Health Systems in Ann Arbor. She completed her Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. Dr Sam's primary clinical interest is the treatment of cancer in older patients and developing care plans tailored to their individual needs. Her focus is the treatment of breast, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary malignancies.

Care Philosophy: Dr Chadha is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. After graduating from New York University, he completed his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Most recently, he completed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr Chadha's focus is solid tumor oncology, with clinical interests in genitourinary tract tumors, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, testicular cancer, and thoracic malignancies.

Care Philosophy: Dr Kuykendall is an Assistant Member at Moffitt Cancer Center in the Department of Malignant Hematology. He earned his MD from University of Florida College of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of South Florida and a subsequent Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida. He primarily focuses his clinical and research efforts on myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), MDS/MPN overlap syndromes and systemic mastocytosis (SM) where he is dedicated to developing novel, disease-modifying therapies for these rare diseases.

Care Philosophy: Dr Haider is an Associate Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center and an Associate Professorof Oncologic Sciences at University of South Florida. Dr Haider received her Bachelor of Science as well as her Medical Degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA followed by Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center - University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Dr Haider's clinical practice is focused on neuroendocrine tumor (NET) oncology. As a member of the Endocrine Program Multidisciplinary team, she also treats paraganglioma and pheochromocytoma.
